- אָרִיגm. (ארג) something woven, web. Sabb.XIII, 1; a. fr. Y.M. Kat. III, end, 83d, what is meant by אִיהוּי? Ans. כאריג when it looks as if woven. Meg.26b, a. e. טווי לא׳ spinning the flax so as to prepare it for weaving (indirect preparation or designation); Snh.48a טווי לאֲרִיגָה, (Rashi לאריג).
